Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The site does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or through a contact form may include the sender's address and any details the sender chooses to provide. We keep that material as needed to answer and do not share it beyond the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Data and Cookies
Ordinary page requests may create technical records used to operate and understand the service. Those records can include:
- the visitor's IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring page, when supplied; and
- the date and time of a request.
Cookies help measure how people move through the site. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, although parts of the service may then work differently.
How Data Supports the Site
Collected data is used for limited operating purposes:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- sending a search to the selected partner service;
- learning which content readers use;
- detecting and repairing technical faults; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Outside Links and Advertising
Pages may link to the Crittenden County jail roster, booking feeds, sheriff and corrections offices, government portals, news outlets, and third-party tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of data. Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be handled by parties needed to provide the service or comply with law, including:
- search partners that process submitted queries;
- analytics providers that measure site use;
- advertising networks that deliver or measure ads; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information. No internet service, device, or storage system can be guaranteed breach-proof, so absolute security is not promised.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, seek correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, or object to certain processing. These rights concern data controlled by this site. Requests about a sheriff, court, news outlet, or search partner must go to that separate custodian.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices may change as services or legal duties change. A revised notice will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after posting means the updated terms apply.
